POTA IS FUN!
As Sunday was looking to be a beautiful day, it was time again to work a POTA Park.
So after checking the POTA Website, I found Jacks Beach Reserve near Crib Point. POTA AU-10241.
The park has two Picnic Tables as well as toilets and walking tracks.. Also near the Beach.
Plenty of trees for antenna wire...
After around 2 hours I was very pleased with my result working 38 stations..
VK1, VK2, VK3, VK5, VK7.
There were a few people that visited the park biut overall it was peaceful and lots of fun.
I was using my IC-705 running 10 Watts into one of the clubs 40M End Fed..
It's amazing that people say the band conditions are crap, and that there is no one on the air, well that can be sort of true, but believe me when you call CQ PARKS, the stations come from no where..
38 Stations added to my POTA account.
