I recently ordered a new power lead for my IC-705, and when it arrived it had a plug on it that I didn't recognise. I did a bit of searching, and found that you could buy the plug for <$20 for 20 of the plugs (10 Black and 10 Red) from Amazon. What is unusual is that they are gender neutral, in that there is effectively no male or female plug. I think the word is androgynous.

Easy job to make up and present well.

Attached is photo of 2 completed plugs, and 1 prior to assembly.

As you can see from the specs they are well suited for many applications in amateur radio.

I'll bring them down to shack on Wednesday for anyone interested.
