Update to Meshcore Page

Hi guys,

As new information comes out about this fun hobby, I continue to add these features etc to the clubs dedicated Meshcore page.

I have added a new video about Adding Channels, as well as a new live view of activity, thanks to Stephan VK3GTR.

Have fun.

Got my ThinkNode 5

Hey guys. I've flashed my M5 and it seems to work as I'm getting messages from the public channel, so I guess there's a repeater around here somewhere.

REAST MESHCORE PRESENTATION LIVE

When - Wednesday March 4th from 7:30pm - QD Clubrooms and Streamed

Heath VK3TWO/VK6TWO will be taking us on a tour of Meshcore.

Remember Packet Radio in the 80’s well Meshcore is a modern equivalent on the 900MHz ISM band so, you don’t have to be a licenced amateur.

MeshCore is developed by HAM’s, but available to all and is a decentralised text-based communications platform. It is designed to run on commodity, affordable development boards and uses LoRa radios to create a meshed network.

Home Meshcore Repeater up and running

Hey guys,

I received my Meshcore Repeater a couple of weeks ago and I have it installed on one of my 6M poles in the back yard.

I was concerned that it may not get enough charge for the onboard battery via the solar panel, however I am finding that it is keep a charge very well.

On overcast days, it may drop to around 80%, but with around say 2 hours, it's back up to around 95%.

It is working as it should and allows my Thinknode M5 Companion device in side the house to send and receive its messages easily via the Repeater.

On checking the phone app, it has made single hop connections as far as Burnie Tasmania..
