FAMPARC NEW 2M REPEATER

Updated: Jun 21

Thanks to the hard work of many members, particularly Ian vk3ko, Colin vk3cr and Rakshit vk3dhr the Famparc Club Repeater has now been registered and approved by the ACMA and is operating..

Repeater Details:

VK3RUV (The repeater's callsign is dedicated to our late member Bruce VK3UV)

Callsign: VK3RUV

Repeater Receive Freq.: 146.025 Mhz

Repeater Transmit Freq.: 146.625 Mhz

CTCSS Tone: 88.5 hz

Additional efforts are necessary to optimize the input and output of the repeater.

The club is also exploring other locations to improve coverage.

This is an exciting period for our club and its members, and having our own Repeater may enable members to stay in contact with one another.

If you require help in setting up your Transcivers to access the clubs Repeater, please reach out to one our active members.

Whilst I'm only mobile at this point, I can get it from my driveway with antenna on bullbar. Great work to all.... Cheers, Mark. VK3MDE

Stations I have worked:

VK3VV, VK3IJ, VK3CR, VK3GB, VK3MJF, VK3VCE, VK3HBP, VK3BMX.

There may be more. Colin and myself are on the repeater most days and it has been my pleasure to help Colin with signal reports.

Can you hear the repeater but not get back to it? Build a beam.

One small minor detail, the repeater is not done yet. It will get better and stronger.

I have heard the repeater from the intersection of South Gypsland Highway and Pound Road. Also some have accessed it from the cafe on Saxton Circle off Heatherhill Rd.

Now given the state of our repeater, just think what the footprint will be when finished. Amazing.

I am happy to report that the repeater works extremely well.

This was to be a twelve month project, completed in less than six.

Well done team.
