In this video, I transmit at 5 different power levels, from 100 watts down to 1 watt. I record the audio from a station listening to my signal 250 miles away. You will be surprised how little audible difference can be heard when cutting your power!

100W is about 20db more power than 1W and should in theory be that much stronger on the S meter which is about 3.5 S points roughly.
Looking at the S meter, I thought 100W was about S8(ish) and 1W was about S4.5(ish) - it is very subjective and it jumped about a bit. But those numbers look about right.
Thing is though that fading, QSB, can be as much as that at times and sometimes over 5 or 10 minutes. Even so, his video did show compatible differences in signal strength.
It was good to see it all aligned.
